IN.S.P.I.RE. Global LLC wanted to create a health and wellness self-management platform. After exploring various options for back-end and AI tools from other vendors, the IN.S.P.I.RE. team turned to Pegasus One for help. Because the business was in an early startup phase, the partnership was critical to its success. The most challenging aspect of the work was supporting the transformation of an idea into a working platform quickly and affordably. Microsoft Azure services formed the core of the design, Azure Cognitive Services provided user engagement capabilities, and Azure Security Center was employed for critical security. Together, IN.S.P.I.RE. and Pegasus One built and launched the Vertie Total Health solution.
Customer Challenges
IN.S.P.I.RE. Global LLC started developing its platform in 2018 with the aim of creating a cohesive self-management resource that could help its costumers, employees, and executives stay on track with their health and wellness goals. The early stage start-up needed an affordable and flexible set of tools that it could use to develop a complex design in a short period of time. The architecture had to accommodate multiple types of interaction and functionality. Adding even greater complexity, the solution had to maintain compliance with HIPAA and GDPR regulations.
Partner Solution
Pegasus One and IN.S.P.I.RE. partnered on development of the solution, and they leveraged Microsoft Azure to power it. The multilingual Vertie Total Health self-management platform that arose from the effort is web-based, with mobile applications used to support key capabilities. The platform also leverages Azure Security Center to proactively mitigate potential threats. The multitenant application allows users in separate tenants to view the application as though it was their own to enable users to share goals with friends, family members, or mentors. IN.S.P.I.RE. Global LLC was able to get a full beta version of Vertie Total Health up and running in under a year.
Customer Benefits
The system offers guidance on follow-up visits, coordinated care, and easy access to the medical team, and IN.S.P.I.RE. is now exploring new ways to use the platform as a self-management and education tool. The platform also delivers a virtual support model for coaching healthcare leaders, which is expected to increase participation across the African content and provide a consistent means of tracking outcomes. The solution's integrated goal-setting and communication tools are expected to increase adherence to treatment plans by 50 percent over current methods, and Vertie Total Health’s most-recent monthly adoption rate was 23 percent.
“Lori [Marshall, Founder of IN.S.P.I.R.E.] outlined her unique vision to create a health and wellness self-management platform during the envisioning phase. … The challenge was to find a platform to materialize her vision that was affordable, secure, and scalable. Leveraging various features of Microsoft Azure enabled us to build an application that met all of the goals in the least amount of time.”
